What's Happening at The James Museum
December Events at the James Museum:
December 9th: Winter Wonderland Market - shop for your holiday gifts with a selection of unique items from the gift store with local vendors.
December 9: Holiday Art with Harley Babst - Create holiday art with local artist Harley Babst where you will create a western-themes masterpiece. Must be 21+ to enjoy! Cost is $30.
December 12 and 16th: Accessibility & the Arts - Discover the museum collection through activities designed to engage our senses. This tour is for people who have low or limited hearing or sight. Space is limited. It is included with admission price.
December 26 - January 3: Family Artmaking - Drop into the the art studio and create winter themed art. Ages 4-12, must be accompanied by an adult. Included with admission. Studio is only open from 1 - 4 pm during these dates.

Holiday festivities at the museum
Celebrate the season with The James Museum!
Come Join us for the annual yule cactus lighting! This even will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The event is free to attend! The James Museum will light a 12-foot yule cactus! This event will also include family friendly activities, photos with Cowboy Santa, and special guest artist Chad Mize will help us light the yule cactus at 7 pm!

Theme: Un/Natural Worlds
The James Museum partners with Pinellas County schools to host the fifth annual juried K-12 art exhibit. The challenge issued to young artist this year to is create art forms to represent the natural world or a fantasy world built in thieir imagination.
This is included with your general admission ticket.
